"Let's go outside!" he yells.
"What?!" you ask. "Sorry, i cant hear you, the music is too loud! Let's go outside!". You walk through the door and feel the fresh air hit you. You think about someone you saw before you speak.
"I think i saw Charlie inside..." you finally tell your friend. Charlie was your boyfriend but about one year ago he broke up with you and it took you like 4 months to get over him. Now everytime you see him you feel unconfortable.
"Well, forget about him, he cant appreciate good things in life" says your friend and you smile. Ah, Niall. What would you do without him? He's always bee there for you, he's your best friend. You sigh.
"It's so cold out here" you say changing the subject. Without saying anything he puts his jacket around your shoulders and stares at you. You notice he's too serious. You're about to ask what's wrong, when suddenly he starts speaking.
"Do you still love him?" he asks. You shake your head.
"No. It just feels weird being around him, but i dont love him anymore" and when you finish saying that he makes a face of relief. There's a long silence and Niall just keeps staring at the floor. Suddenly slow music starts playing from the inside and Niall smiles shyly at you.
"Would you please give me this dance, beautiful lady?"
"Well, of course, gentleman" you say and smile back. You hold him from the neck and you rest your head on his shoulder. You remain silent for a while, then you finally say:
"Niall?"
"Yes?" he whispers, but you dont answer immediatly. "What's up?" he asks.
"Well, err...I wanted to thank you for everything. You are the best friend ever" you say as you raise your head and look into his beautiful blue eyes. "Everytime im down you find the perfect words to say and you make me feel so much better..." you suddenly feel how he starts stroking your hair....Wait. Are his eyes red? Yes, they definitely are. "Niall, what's wrong?" you manage to say before you feel his warm lips against yours. Wait, what did just happened? You ask yourself, but you dont move. When he stops kissing you and and moves his head away from yours you see his eyes again, this time filled with tears. You dont say anything, just look at him confused.
"I...." he tries to explain. "...I am so sorry" he adds and looks down. "I couldnt help it, im sorry. It's just that i love you so much" he shuts up, but you're speechless, so he speaks again. "When you were with Charlie it killed me. But i never said anything. I know you must think im an idiot, but i fell for you and i cant help it... Im sorry" he whispers. You see how a tear rolls down his cheek and you wipe it with the sleeve of his jacket. He finally dares to look at you and you stay like that for a few seconds until you finally get a bit closer, close your eyes and kiss him back. You slowly move away. Then with your forehead against his he whispers that he loves you.
"I love you too" you answer sincerely.
